Chinese Noodles
Instant noodles are noodles that are sold ready-made. They are sold as a pre-cooked or dried block of noodles to which flavor powder or herbal oil is added. This sachet of flavor powder or herbal oil can be added to the noodles to bring them to taste. Opinions vary as to whether these noodles are healthy or not and whether they are tasty or not. However, this is of course entirely opinion-dependent and we know that instant noodles are a real Chinese delicacy. Get creative with instant noodles
In addition to the standard packages of instant noodles, you can also prepare these noodles creatively yourself! We have listed three examples for you.
1. Making your own sauce
The fact that instant noodles come with herbs does not mean that you have to use these herbs. Get started yourself by making, for example, a ketjap sauce with garlic, a nice spring onion and possibly an egg.
2. Noodles and Rice
Boil your instant noodles and then add them to fried rice with a nice egg. This will give you the perhaps well-known nasi but then with noodles. This became a real trend in China last year and we recommend you to definitely try it!
3. Add your own flavorings
As mentioned before, you don't have to use the standard herbs and herb oil that comes with the instant noodles. You can make a real dish out of your instant noodles by adding meat, an egg, vegetables such as mushrooms and season the noodles with oyster sauce, ketjap or perhaps hoisin sauce.
