Sushi Bamboo Mat
The bamboo sushi mat is made of high-quality woven bamboo and is used in making rolled sushi, also known as nori maki. Maki sushi consists of fresh ingredients and sushi rice, wrapped in a seaweed sheet (nori) and rolled using the bamboo mat. These rolls can be eaten whole or cut into smaller pieces and are traditionally served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.

These rolls can be eaten whole or cut into smaller pieces and are traditionally served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.
Ingredients for nori maki sushi rolls:
- 500 g cooked rice
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 5 sheets of nori seaweed
- Wasabi
- Filler of your choice such as tuna, cucumber, avocado, crab meat, etc.
Preparation method:
1. Sprinkle rice vinegar over the cooled rice and mix gently.
2. Cover the bamboo rolling mat with cling film; Place the nori seaweed, shiny side down, on the covered surface of the bamboo mat.
3. Spread the rice and vinegar evenly over the nori, leaving about 2 cm at the end of the sheet free of rice.
4. Dab a small amount of wasabi along the rice in a straight line. Place the filler for your roll on the wasabi.
5. Lift the front of the bamboo mat closest to you and roll up the nori sheet tightly. Just before you reach the end of the sheet, dampen the exposed strip with a little water. Apply light pressure to connect it properly.
