Pondan Martabak Manis Cake Mix. Sweet Martabak cake is an Indonesian delicacy. This mix is easy and practical to use, enough product for three cakes.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, sugar, baking powder (raising agent) (sodium carbonate) (E500) Sodium polyphosphate (E452i) Vanilla essence, salt.
Allergen information: Contains wheat, gluten. Produced in a facility that processes milk, egg, peanuts, soybeans and tree nuts.
This product is certified Halal.
Requirements: 2 egg yolks, 350ml water + 150ml water, 60gr melted butter.
Preparation advice: Beat the Martabak Mix, egg yolk and 350ml water with a mixer (medium speed) for about 10 minutes. Add the second part of water (150ml), stir until well and let it rest for 60 minutes. Then weigh 285gr of the batter and add 20gr of melted butter, stir this mixture well. Put the batter in a moderately fired preheated frying pan for about 5 minutes.
Within a few minutes holes will form at the top, sprinkle sugar on top. Close it with a lid and leave it on a small fire for about 3 minutes. Once the top looks dry, gently loosen the sides with a spatula. Lift the Martabak Manis onto a cutting board with 1 or 2 spatulas.
Spread the top with approx. 3/4 tablespoon of butter and cover the Martabak Manis with your toppings (e.g. chocolate sprinkles, coarsely ground fried peanuts or grated cheese, condensed milk can also be added) Fold the Martabak Manis in half and spread the outside with a little bit of butter. Ready to serve!
