PAN White Corn Flour is a versatile cornmeal primarily used in traditional Latin American dishes. Here are some popular uses:
Ingredients:
Precooked white corn flour 100%. May contain traces of soya.
Preparation method:
- 2 1/2 cups water.
- 2 cups PAN, 1 teaspoon salt.
- Pour water into a container. Add salt and cornmeal gradually.
- Knead until a smooth dough is formed and let it rest for 3 minutes.
How to prepare the arepa: - Separate the dough into 10 portions. Take one portion in your hand and shape it into a ball. Then, using your palms, press it into a large patty about 10 cm (3 1/2 in.) in diameter. Place on a baking sheet or fry in a pan over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side. Brown on both sides and serve hot. Open the arepa and fill it to taste.
