Guanajuato Corn Tortillas are traditional corn tortillas, perfect for an authentic Mexican experience. Made using a traditional method of nixtamalization of corn, these tortillas offer a delicious, soft texture that is ideal for tacos, burritos and quesadillas.

Important information about Guanajuato White Corn Tortillas, 15cm (10 pieces)
Our Guanajuato White Corn Tortillas are traditionally made from nixtamalized corn flour. During the nixtamalization process, corn kernels are cooked in an alkaline solution (often lime water) and then washed and dried. This process improves the nutritional value, makes grinding easier and gives the tortillas their authentic flavor.
NB:
- This natural process can cause a strong odor, often described as chemical or ammonia-like. This is normal and is due to the natural reaction of corn and the use of lime water.
- The smell disappears completely when the tortillas are ventilated and briefly warmed in a pan or oven.
