Ma Po Tofu is an ancient sauce originated in a suburb of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. This sauce is traditionally served with meat, such as ground pork or beef, but this recipe can easily be adapted for vegetarians by replacing the meat with sweet corn and the oyster sauce with vegetarian stir-fry sauce.
Ingredients: Water, fermented soybean paste (water, salt, soybeans, wheat flour ), salted chili peppers 17% (chili peppers 80%, salt), sugar, tomato paste, sesame oil, soy sauce (water, salt, soybeans, wheat flour ), sesame seed paste, Sichuan Peppers 2%, Modified Corn Starch, Dehydrated Garlic.
