The koshihikari rice is a short-grain rice a lot cultivated and really appreciated in Japan because of its bright looks «hikari». The Masakado hikari mai rice was named after a famous shogun Taira Masakado because it is cultivated in the Ibaraki prefecture in the former lands of this shogun.
