Mexican marinade for meat Read more
Pastor Cooking Paste from Lol-Tun is a ready-to-use marinade based on Achiote for the preparation of the Tacos al Pastor dish. Taco al Pastor translates as shepherd style taco. The dish comes from central Mexico. In Mexico, thin pieces of pork are skewered with the pastor marinade and broiled for a grill like the Turkish kebab. In Mexico, the meat skewer is topped with pieces of pineapple. For home use, the meat is cut into thin, small pieces (like strips) and mixed with the marinade. The meat must be marinated for about 2 hours with the Pastor Cooking Paste. Then it is briefly fried in the pan with pieces of pineapple.
